Both pathways use the same four-hour school-readiness model. The difference is the amount of individualized classroom support built into the group.
For children who benefit from a highly structured, autism-informed small-group setting with RBT / ABA-trained classroom staff and BCBA expertise available in the center.
For children building the same readiness skills who need a smaller group and more individualized support within the classroom experience.
The curriculum tells us what students need to learn. Instructional science helps us teach it exceptionally well. Autism-specific supports make learning accessible.
Swimming lessons are already part of ABA Today’s programming, giving children structured opportunities to build water confidence, safety routines, gross-motor skills, communication, turn-taking, and independence.

Swimming at ABA Today: Lessons are incorporated as an enrichment experience with appropriate supervision, family permissions, staffing, and safety procedures. A staffed alternative can be provided for children who do not participate.
The goal is simple: help children participate more independently, communicate more effectively, learn with peers, and build the readiness skills that make preschool, kindergarten, and community life more accessible.

Virginia learning requirements and each student's IEP define what the school must teach. Morningside-informed instructional science helps shape how skills are taught. ABA expertise supports communication, independence, access to learning, and generalization.
ABA Today team members Courtney Palladino and Rakesh Tamang have completed Morningside intensive training, with continued training and implementation support planned as the instructional model develops.
ABA Today welcomes referrals from pediatric, developmental, therapy, early-intervention, advocacy, and school professionals.
